Mets owner Steve Cohen didn’t mince words when discussing Pete Alonso at Amazin’ Day on Saturday. “Personally, this has been an exhausting conversation and negotiation,” Cohen told a packed crowd of Mets fans.
He may be moving to 3B for good, but the bat looks like it’ll play.
The New York Mets may be preparing for a new era in their infield as they look to fill the void left by Pete Alonso‘s potential departure. His exit would leave a glaring hole at first base, forcing the Mets to explore internal and external solutions.
