Stark: Ten things we learned in April

How​ weird a month​ was April? Here’s how weird:

120 pitchers​ have​ won a game this​ year. None​ of them are​ named​ Chris​​ Sale. 334 players have hit a home run this year. Until Tuesday, none of them were named Justin Turner.

“It’s hard to keep your head clear in April,” said an executive of one team that made the playoffs last year. “So I’ve thought about instituting a standings ban – and not even looking at the standings in April.”

That’s a fine idea for mental-health purposes. But this just in: Those games in April all count. So what have we learned from those games so far? A lot, actually! Here, for your amusement and edification, are 10 things we learned in the last month.
