[Women's Tennis] Women's Tennis falls to Tabor 6-3

HILLSBORO – Playing a second match in as many days, the Kansas Wesleyan women's tennis team faced the Tabor College Bluejays on Saturday at the Tabor tennis courts. Tabor would come away with a 6-3 win in the match.

Three singles matches and one doubles match were contested with KWU picking up wins in the three singles matches.

At No. 1 Zofia Selwesiuk (FR/Wroclaw, Poland) beat Naima Mexsen 6-2, 7-5; at No. 2 Brianna Mendoza (SO/Balch Springs, Texas) beat Olivia Brubacher 6-0, 6-1; and at No. 3 Jessica Smith (SO/Salina, Kan.) beat Tessa Isaac 6-2, 6-2. Tabor won the other three matches via forfeit.

Tabor won the only contested doubles match as Mexsen and Brubacher beat Selwesiuk and Mendoza 8-0.

Wesleyan's weekend of tennis concludes on Sunday as the Coyotes head to McPherson to take on the Bulldogs at 1 p.m.
