[Track and Field] Track and Field: Day Two of Heart Championships Recap

Mason Tangen's women and men track teams continued their success during the second day of the HEART Championships Saturday, February 9, 2019.
On the women's side, Breanna Judkins (JR/Franklin, Wis.) dominated the triple jump with a new personal best leap of 11.66m, placing first and establishing a new school record. Chantel Kyler (SR/Shabbona, Ill.) mastered the high jump, clearing 1.65m and placing first out of sixteen athletes. Kyler also placed eighth in the triple jump with a best leap of 10.58m. Judkins, Taylor Redmond (FR/Dubuque, Iowa), Paige Murphy (SO/Benton, WI), and Kyler placed seventh in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:34.84.
Emily Riesenberg (SR/West Bend, Iowa) placed fifth in the 1000 meter run with a new personal best time of 3:14.64, breaking her previously established school record time by over four seconds. Riesenberg, Ellie O'Neill (FR/Dubuque, Iowa), Emma Crist (FR/Darlington, Wis.), and Claire Ronnebaum (FR/North Liberty, Iowa) placed sixth in the distance medley with a time of 13:39.17.
In the 3000 meter race walk, Mariah Pellino (SO/Streator, IL) placed third with a time of 19:08.02, receiving All-Conference honors. Rubi Colin-Zarate (FR/Jackson Hole, Wyo.) and Annie Knobloch (SO/Moline, IL) followed Pellino in sixth and seventh place, respectively, crossing the finish line with in 20:09.34 and 20:37.86.
Mikayla Houston (SR/Bolingbrook , Ill.) placed second in the weight throw with a best throw of 11.12m. Houston, Katelynn Rheingans (SR/Eldridge, Iowa), and Hanna Wolff (FR/Mason, Ill.) dominated in the shot put placing second, third, and fourth, respectively, with best throws of 11.97m, 11.94m, and 11.93m. Wolff's throw was a new personal best by 0.48m.
The Pride women scored 70 points and placed sixth out of 11 teams.
