[Men's Wrestling] Reinhardt Soars past Wrestling on Senior Night

LAURINBURG, N.C. - The St. Andrews wrestling team fell to conference foe, Reinhardt University, on Saturday evening in a tough Senior Night dual. The Eagles topped the Knights 56-0, remaining undefeated in NAIA competition.
The Eagles would obtain 24 easy points in the match resulting from four SAU forfeits. The forfeits were in the 133, 149, 157, 197 weight classes.
The 125 match up was kicked off by a dominating performance by the Eagles, resulting in a tech fall (18-2) over freshman William Dudley (FR/New Bern, NC).
At 141, freshman Aiden McDonald (SO) fought hard in the first two periods but was topped in the third by a pin fall with 1:05 left on the clock. Sophomore Chase Payne (SO/Gastonia, NC) dropped his 165 dual by injury forfeit after hurting his knee during the match.
The Knights suffered back-to-back pins at 174 and 184. Michael Nelson (JR/Shallotte, NC) fell in the 174-weight class to the Eagles with 1:45 left in the first period. At 184, freshman Johnathan Zafra lost by pin fall at 1:00 in the first period.
The lone senior for the Knights, Aaron Vaughan (SR/Dinwiddie, VA), suffered a heart-breaking loss at 285, falling to Hinton Boilenger by decision 5-2.
