[Baseball] Point Baseball Sweeps Twinbill at Auburn-Montgomery, 13-8 and 2-1
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Point University baseball (7-1), coached by John Tyler (third season), scored 10 runs in the first six innings and totaled 15 hits in its 13-8 victory in game one and scored two runs and managed two hits in a 2-1 win in game two of a non-conference doubleheader at Auburn University-Montgomery (4-3), Saturday, Feb. 9. The Skyhawks took two out of three games last weekend against Auburn-Montgomery, an NCAA Division II opponent. Point is scheduled to host a doubleheader against another Division II opponent, University of West Alabama, Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m. on Skyhawks Field, and plays a three-game weekend series at the University of Mobile (Ala.) with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 15, and a single, 9-inning game on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m.
