[Football] DiCamillo, Outlaw Once Again Highlight All Seaboard Conference Selections

Seniors Gino DiCamillo (SR/Broomall. PA) and DeJuan Outlaw (SR/Elkton, MD) once again claimed Seaboard Conference Player of the Year award honors in their respective categories, while eight other Williamson football players earned First Team All Seaboard Conference, the league announced on Monday.

Both DiCamillo (and Outlaw are repeat Player of the Year award winners.  DiCamillo, who was Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, was once again named Co-Defensive Player of the Year this year.  Outlaw, who earned All-Purpose Player of the Year in 2017, once again laid claim to that award in 2018.

Joining those two with First Team honors on the offensive side of the ball are center DaVon Lewis (SR/Chester, PA), running back David Williams (JR/Philadelphia, PA), fullback Dwayne Parent (SR/Brookhaven, PA) and wide receiver Bryson Townsend (FR/Dillsbury).  Townsend also made it on special team as the First Team kick returner.

Earning First Team All Seaboard honors of the defensive side of the ball was defensive end Joe Spillman (FR/Secane, PA), defensive tackle Quincy Williams (JR/Conshohocken, PA), inside linebacker Tyler Beasley (SR/Chester Srpings, PA) and cornerback Jack Gibson (JR/Rutledge, PA).

DiCamillo recently ended a career that will go down as one of the finest in Williamson history.  He led the USCAA and the Seaboard Conference in tackles (69) and tackles per game (8.6).  He led Williamson in those categories all three years.  He also led Williamson in tackles for loss with 11.5, good enough for second best in the country.  He added 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and an interception in 2018.

Williams had an incredible year at defensive tackle, a position that often gets overlooked when it comes to all-league mention.  He was second on the team in tackles with 44, while leading the team in sacks with 5.0.  He also had five tackles for loss, forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. He was second in hurries with eight.

Known for his skill as a true "shut down" cornerback, Gibson burst onto the scene last year as a freshman and he picked right up where he left off this year.  With teams often throwing away from him, he still managed to tie for the tema lead in interceptions with three, while finishing sixth on the team in tackles with 26.  He also had four pass-break-ups and added a fumble recovery.

Coming off a shoulder injury in 2017 that lingered into the 2018 season, Beasley played with abandon each and every time he took the field.  He finished third on the team in tackles with 36, despite missing one game and parts of another.  He also added four tackles for loss, a sack and two interceptions, while breaking up three passes.   He also forced two fumbles.

Spillman had a fantastic start to his Williamson career, as he finished fifth on the team in tackles with 28.  He also was second in tackles for loss with 11and was third on the team in sacks with 3.5.  He also forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery.

On offense, Outlaw was once again spectacular in a variety of ways.  He led the team in receptions with 12 for 156 yards (13.0) and two touchdowns.  He also was second on the tema in rushing with 257 yards (3.5) and added two more touchdowns.  He also managed to quarterback Williamson to a season finale comeback win over Community Christian College.  In addition to all that, he was the team's punter, averaging 34.7 yards on 31 punts.  As if that wasn't enough, he also returned five punts and two kick-offs.

Williams had the finest rushing season by a Williamson running back in over 15 years.  He rushed for 662 yards and averaged 4.4 yards per carry.  He averaged 94.6 yards rushing per game, good for tops in the USCAA.  He scored four touchdowns on the ground and also added three pass receptions (8.0 per catch),  two punt returns for a 13.0 average per return and one kick-off return for a 33.0 average per return.  He led Williamson with an average of 106.8 all-purpose yards per game.

Lewis was a First Team selection in 2017 at left tackle,  and was named a 2018 First Team selection at center.   His play helped Williamson rush for over 1,200 yards, their highest team rushing total in ten years.

A team captain in 2018, Parent did a phenomenal job helping to open up the running lanes for Williams, but also did a fine job of running the ball when called upon.  Though known for his blocking, he still managed to finish fourth on the team in rushing.

Townsend had as fine a start to a career as you can ask, as he took the season opening kick-off 80 yards for a touchdown and never looked back from there.  A long-ball threat, he averaged over 13 yards per reception and added three touchdowns, despite Williamson running the triple option offense.

In addition to their First Team selections, Williamson also had nine players earn Second Team honors:  Ian Waterbury (SR/York, PA) (OG), Giuseppe Pollino (WR), Vince DelPercio (SR/Middletown, DE) (QB), DeJuan Outlaw (RB), Hunter Thornton (JR/Upper Chichester, PA) (TE), Chris Carney (FR/Coatsville, PA) (DE, Mark Moriarty (FR/Glen Mills, PA) (LB), Gregg Kimmel (FR/Folsom, PA)l (LB) and Shane Dougherty (FR/Ridley Park, PA) (DB) all earned Second Team honors.

Williamson finished 7-1 in 2018, their most wins in a season since 1983.
