[Women's Basketball] Lions Remain Undefeated in AAC Play, Devouring Rams on the Road 89-59

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The tone was set early in Saturday's Appalachian Athletic Conference women's basketball game between 19th-ranked Bryan College, who entered the contest undefeated in conference play, and a Columbia International University team that were still in search of their first win of the season. With less than two minutes remaining in the first quarter, the Lions roared out to an overwhelming 21-2 lead, allowing the Rams only a lone make through the opening eight minutes of play. The commanding lead was enough to help Bryan gain control of an advantage that wouldn't be surrendered for the rest of the day, putting CIU behind by 19 points, 39-20, at the half. The Lions concluded the outing with an overwhelming 89-59 triumph of the Rams, remaining perfect in the AAC at 7-0 and improving their overall mark to 8-1 with a current seven-game winning streak. CIU fell to 0-7 in the conference and overall.
