[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer Drops Final Game of Season

West Point, Ga. – The St. Andrews University Men's Soccer drops their final game of the season to AAC foe Point University out of West Point, Ga. with a final score of 4-1.

Monday afternoon's game between the Knights and the Skyhawks started out on a positive note for SAU as Andre Roberts shot the first goal of the game with the help of an assist by Julio Rico in the 3rd minute. The Knights would take the early lead with a score of 1-0 and were able to hold the Skyhawks until the 29th minute when Point was able to get one of the 13 shots of the half in the goal.

Junior Goalkeeper Valentino Parini (JR/ Milan, Italy) saved 5 of the six shots on goal in the first half. The score was tied 1-1 going into the second half.

The Skyhawks dominated the second half as they were able to push 25 shots with 11 shots on goal. SAU struggled to find a way to get shots on the board other than Roberts' goal in the first half. Point scored 3 additional goals in the second half to assure the win with a final score of 4-1.

Parini finished the game with seven saves against the Skyhawks' 11 shots on goal. This conference game concludes the 2018 season for St. Andrews University Men's Soccer.
