[Men's Cross Country] James Wins 2018 EPAC Men's Cross Country Championship; Williamson Takes ...
Williamson freshman Patrick James (FR/Springfield, PA) continued his magical season, as he won the 2018 Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country individual championship on Saturday, in Lancaster, PA. His strong showing helped Williamson finish second overall in the team standings. Thaddeus Stevens claimed the team championship.
That Williamson finished second in the team standings was a major accomplishment in itself, as they were running without outstanding freshman Jack Warner (FR/Pottstown, PA), who missed the race due to shin splints. Had he been able to run, Williamson almost assuredly would have won their third team title since 2015.
Zakaria Elfernani (JR/Newtown Square PA), Austin Lacey (FR/Glen Arm, MD), Isaac Eshenour (SR/Shippensburg, PA) and Brett Morgan (SR/Aston, PA) all scored for Williamson, in addition to James.
Williamson next gets ready for the 2018 NJCAA Region XIX championships this Sunday, October 28 in a race hosted by Delaware Technical Community College.
