[Men's Golf] Men's Golf Inks Christ School Standout

MONTREAT, NC - On Friday, June 4th, Montreat College men's golf coach John Sullivan announced that local standout Caleb Moss of Franklin, NC has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Cavaliers in the fall. Caleb comes to Montreat from Christ School in Asheville, where he enjoyed a successful senior campaign while leading the Greenies to a 3rd place state ranking in the NCISAA state conference.

Caleb is excited to represent the Cavs in the fall saying, "It's an honor for me to have an opportunity to compete for the Montreat golf program. What I am really looking forward to the most is working with Coach Sullivan and continuing to improve as a golfer. I chose Montreat because of the environment. I felt very welcomed and comfortable, and as a bonus they are a Christian college where I can continue to grow in my love for Christ and pursue my hope of being a pastor while competing for the golf team".

During his senior season at Christ School, Moss secured 2 individual wins, most recently at the NCJGA Tour Championship at Etowah Valley as well as picking up 2 more wins at Maggie Valley Golf Club. He also had a top 5 finish in the North Carolina State Tournament. He is currently ranked 44th in the NCISSA state rankings and holds a tournament scoring average of 73.

"We are thrilled to welcome Caleb to the Cavalier family", said Coach Sullivan. "He has already gotten the chance to practice with our team and spend some time with the rest of the guys. He is the whole package, a great player and individual, but most importantly, he is a young man of great faith and character. We are expecting great things from Caleb."

Caleb is the son of Nathan and Bree Moss and will be majoring in Business Administration & Evangelism.
