[Softball] Late rally falls short in Campbellsville

For the second straight game, it was the long ball that did in Georgetown College softball against No. 4 Campbellsville University. The home team had two home runs in game two for a 6-5 win.

GC (24-13, 10-8) clawed back from a 5-1 deficit with runs in the later innings, but a single run in the fourth proved to be the winning one for the home Tigers (36-5, 18-2).

The top of the seventh looked promising as Kara Howard and Abigail James led off with singles, but James was contested by CU as batting out of order. It was deemed a winning appeal by the umpires, giving the visitors one out and Howard back on first.
