[Women's Lacrosse] No. 1 Bees' bursts sting No. 8 Tigers in 21-10 setback
Georgetown College women's lacrosse finished up a brutal seven game stretch against teams ranked or receiving votes – four in the past 11 days – with No. 1 Savannah College of Art and Design – Savannah.
The No. 8 Tigers (5-5) struck first, but the Bees' sting was the mightiest in a 21-10 win Sunday.
GC never quit or backed down from the challenge and while early ran much of the offense through junior power Avery Blackmon, found other scorers in the second half.
Senior Laura Cuseo started a rally, scoring off an assist from Olivia Archer. Tess Borders scored on a free position to pull the Tigers back within a half dozen. Archer capped off the mini run with a goal off a pass from Blackmon.
