[Men's Basketball] Georgetown advances to Quarterfinals of NAIA Men's Basketball Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo- Georgetown College men's basketball took a punch in the mouth Friday, trailing 8-0 in the first few minutes of the 2018 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship second round showdown. Oklahoma City University came out on fire, but seventh year coach Chris Briggs showed no fear with complete trust in his players never calling a timeout in that stretch.

The No. 9 Tigers (27-6) responded to the No. 8 Stars (24-9) early run and weathered a deficit at halftime to win 91-83. GC advances to Saturday's quarterfinal action. Tip is set for 1 pm EDT and the opponent will be the winner of the Peru State-LSU Alexandria game which plays later Friday.
