[Women's Basketball] Five Tigers earn Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that 176 Division II men's basketball student-athletes have been named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
Olivet Nazarene University had five student-athletes honored this year. Guards, Trinity Davis (SR/Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas) and Amelia Denison (SR/Dearborn, Mich.), and forwards, Lauren Rouse (SR/Mundelein, Ill.) and Maggie Schmidt (SR/Eldridge, Iowa) were named to the list for the second time. Forward Jess Learned (JR/Washington, Ill.) earned the honor for the first time in her career.
