St. Ambrose continued its perfect start by defeated Concordia (Mich.) 16-7 in Chicago Saturday afternoon.

The victory moves the Bees to 3-0 on the season, their first season of varsity play.

After falling behind 1-0 and 2-1, SAU took control by scoring nine of the game's next 10 goals.

As they have in the early going this season, Dallas Baker and Katie Baranski did most of the damage.

Baker finished with seven goals, her first four coming over the 9-1 run that opened a 10-3 lead in the opening minutes of the second half. Baranski scored the team's first two goals and finished with five goals and an assist in the win.

Less than three minutes after Baranski tied the score at 2-2, Allie Ruggiero put the Bees in front for good. Baker and Baranski combined for the next six SAU goals to put the margin at 9-3 at the half. Marie Cristoforo started the scoring in the second half for the 10-3 lead.

Erin Green completed the scoring, recording the final two goals of the game. Green, Morgan Fuller and Jamie Rieger each added an assist along with Baranski.

Elizabeth Zia was credited with 10 saves to get the win.

The Bees will put their winning streak on the line Thursday when they host Benedictine, a team receiving votes in the NAIA top-10 poll. The game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. at St. Vincent's.
