St. Ambrose got dominating pitching performances from Ella Specht, Ashley Yattoni and Christina Pembrook in sweeping a doubleheader from Concordia (Mich.) by scores of 6-1 and 1-0 Saturday afternoon in the Ambrose Dome.

The Bees remain perfect in the early going, moving to 6-0 on the year.

No one was more dominant than Yattoni, who struck out seven over six scoreless innings in the second game.

She carried a no-hitter into the sixth before allowing a two-out double and then a single to put runners on the corners. She escaped the jam as on a double-steal, Karley Kopaska started a 2-4-2-1-6 put out as Colleen Barrett applied the tag on the runner at third to end the inning.

That came on the heels of the Bees scoring their lone run in the bottom of the fifth.

Pinch hitter Madelyn Thompson led off the frame with a single up the middle before giving way to Megan Ballegeer, who re-entered the game. Ballegeer advanced to second on Julie Trellicoso's groundout. After an infield pop-up, Pembrook ripped a single down the third-base line to break the scoreless tie.

Along with supplying the game's only run, Pembrook closed out the sweep by retiring the side in order in the seventh to get the save.

Trellicoso collected two of SAU's five hits in the nightcap.
