[Men's Soccer] Marcus Wollak named to CoSIDA Academic All-District College Division Team
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The awards are voted on by current dues-paying group and individual members of CoSIDA.
Representing the Olivet Nazarene University men's soccer team was Marcus Wollak (JR/Eau Claire, Wis.). Wollak was named to this year's team for College Division District 2. He is one of 12 players from his district to earn the award and one of three midfielders.
Wollak started 20 of 21 games in 2017. He scored five goals, had three assists and 13 total points. He finished with 36 shots and 19 shots on goal.
In the classroom, Wollak, has maintained a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 through two academic years. He is majoring in biology and will graduate in May 2019.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in December.
The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools, and other affiliations.
