[Women's Soccer] Campbellsville defeats Brescia on cold night
Brescia traveled to Campbellsville for a non-conference matchup Thursday and came up short. The Lady Bearcats gave themselves several opportunities, but were unable to capitalize on them. The game started out with the Tigers scoring within the first 20 seconds. At the start of the second half, the Tigers netted three goals in the first five minutes.
Coach David Ralph said after the game, "We just need to figure out how to come out stronger and relaxed. We gave a national power like Campbellsville a quick shot of confidence and we simply cannot do that and be successful."
"In spite of the loss, there were some definite bright spots. We are finally learning to trust that our teammates will be in the right spots offensively," said Ralph. He continued and said, "Our defensive position was good all night as well. We have the tactical part of the game under control. We just need to make proper contact with the ball."
The Bearcats will be in action again on Saturday against Oakland City University in a home match that kicks off at noon.
