Gray, Alonso, Lowrie to NYY

0

I'm usually against dealing multiple trade chips to a team when you're selling, but the we have three players that would fill all three of the Yankees' needs and the Yankees have one of the best farm systems in baseball. The Yankees need a starter, first baseman, and third baseman. Sonny Gray, Yonder Alonso, and Jed Lowrie are all having good seasons this year (nobody cares about ERA anymore). Lowrie hasn't played 3B since he was with the 'Stros in 2015, but he has experience there, so he can easily be moved their by the Yankees. I will now present to you a trade that I wish will happen but won't.

Yankees acquire Sonny Gray, Yonder Alonso, and Jed Lowrie in exchange for OF Clint Frazier, RHP Chance Adams, OF Dustin Fowler, and OF Estevan Florial

If the A's were to trade Gray in any sort of deal with the Yankees, they would have to give up Clint Frazier. If they don't want to give him up, I would just tell them to fuck off. Frazier has great power, lightning quick bat speed, above average speed, and good defense. He can easily be placed in center field. I think Frazier can be our franchise star. Along with an outfielder, I also want the A's to acquire a top pitching prospect in any sort of Gray trade. I think it would be important to get a top pitching prospect so they can replace Gray sometime in the future. Adams has been really good all year and is expected to come up sometime this year. He has two plus-pitches with a 65-grade fastball and a 60-grade slider with above-average control. He has a 1.65 ERA with a 3.20 FIP. He has been absolutely dominant and I would love for the A's to get him. He has the stuff to be a front-of-the-rotation guy. Considering the A's are thin in the outfield in their farm system, I think getting another one would be great. Fortunately, the Yankees have another top outfield prospect. Fowler is another guy that can easily play center field with his plus-speed and great defense. He's also having the best year of his minor-league career, setting career bests with a .536 SLG, .865 OPS, 134 wRC+, and a .244 ISO. Fowler would be another great get for the A's in the outfield. And as if 2 outfielders wasn't enough, there's a third one in this deal, but he's much younger and much farther away from the big leagues. Unlike Frazier and Fowler, who are expected to come up this year, Estevan Florial isn't expected to come up until 2020. But the wait could be worth it. He is great on both sides of the ball. His defense is really good and he also has plus-speed. He has above average power, and although his hit tool is graded at 45, he's hitting .310 this year. I think this would be a great lotto ticket to get.

i honestly don't know if this trade would be fair for the Yankees, but the Yankees were to say that they would be willing to deal these 4 kids for Gray, Yonder, and Lowrie, I'd absolutely pull this trigger on this. What do you guys think of this trade?
