[Baseball] Sandoval, Fuchs Receive NAIA Gold Glove Awards

KANSAS CITY – The National Associate of Intercollegiate Athletics announced this afternoon the 2017 Rawlings Gold Glove Team as determined by the American Baseball Coaches Association. This year, two members of the Vanguard Baseball squad were recognized on the list: Michael Fuchs (JR/Irvine, CA) and Brandon Sandoval (SR/Fallbrook, CA). The duo makes the list in the same year, marking the third ever time such a feat has occurred. With Fuchs and Sandoval earning the nod in 2017, it now marks three total winners over the last three seasons after Jose Rojas won the first ever after the 2015 NAIA World Series run for the Lions. With its three victors, Vanguard is second all-time in total Gold Glove recipients.
