ROCKLAND RIGHTY FISCHER SCOOPED UP BY TWINS
The Rockland Boulders announced on Tuesday that the contract of pitcher David Fischer was purchased by the Minnesota Twins organization. The righty will report to spring training in Ft. Myers, Fla., in efforts to earn a minor league roster spot.
Fischer went 9-3 for the Boulders in 2016, ranking third in the league in wins while posting the second-highest strikeout total in the circuit (110) and earning a 2.90 earned run average.
