Does anyone remember the discussion of Brady Singer being a Cy Young candidate?

During the preseason, I recall the Royals announcers and analysts suggesting that in this 2023 season Brady Singer could very well be a Cy Young candidate. This was based on his performance in the last half of the 2022 season.
Does anyone else recall or remember those speculations?
Certainly, no one is suggesting it now.
