[Softball] Avila Uproots #22 Ottawa in Saturday Split

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On the strength of five early runs and a strong complete-game effort from Payton Walter, Avila softball (19-20, 9-9 KCAC) knocked off No. 22 Ottawa (24-11-1, 14-4 KCAC) 5-2 in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader at The Z before the Eagles nearly rallied for a comeback win in game two.
