MLB begins lockout after failing to reach agreement with players union
Major League Baseball is now in it's ninth labor shortage as an organization. MLB club owners and the MLB Players Association failed to reach a new agreement, which triggered the lockout at midnight Thursday. It's unclear when club owners and the Players Association will meet next.
