[Women's Bowling] SXU Women's Bowling Has Top 10 Finish at Leathneck Classic

Davenport, Iowa – Freshman Monica Darrow (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) tied for 20th out of 279 bowlers with 1,204 pins and averaged 200.7 pins in six games for the Saint Xavier University women's bowling team at the 21st Annual Leatherneck Classic at Big River Bowling in Davenport, Iowa. As a team, SXU finished 10th out of 35 teams with a score of 8,402 pins. On Sunday the Cougars competed in the Baker Games and totaled 2,762 pins in 16 games, but did not qualify for the quarterfinals. They averaged 172.6 pins and had a high of 224 pins in the 15th game.
