[Volleyball] Tigers fall in five to Firehawks
Georgetown College women's volleyball started fast, but could not hold off the higher-seeded Tennessee Southern Thursday afternoon in the first round of the Mid-South Conference tournament.
The Tigers (7-21) lost in a five-set match 26-24, 25-19, 16-25, 22-25, 7-15.
Georgetown won four of six to be 6-8 and .500 in league play through the first 14 games. Road woes, winless on opposing team's floors, and injures made for a difficult finish. However, the team showed the promise it has by controlling the match for the first two sets against the Firehawks (23-11).
