[Volleyball] Tigers split day one in Vette City Classic

Georgetown College women's volleyball got the fall season underway Friday. The Tigers (1-1) started with a pair of opponents ranked or receiving votes in the preseason Coaches' Poll. They split the days competition. The Vette City Classic concludes Saturday as GC plays Loyola University (10 am ET) and Florida College (5:30 pm ET).

The Tigers started with No. 16 Marian University (1-0) and despite several leads in the first two sets, were unable to finish those off in a 25-23, 25-22, 25-16 setback.
