[Football] Coyotes, Prewitt: 'We needed to be tested'
Kansas Wesleyan passed its first stern test of the season Saturday, outlasting a determined and rested Avila team 48-47 in Kansas City, Mo.
While the helter-skelter game – the first of the season for the Coyotes – was gut-wrenching for fans, tailback Demarco Prewitt (SR/Menifee, Calif.) was glad things transpired the way they did.
"I felt we needed this, we needed to be tested," said Prewitt, who played an essential role with a season-best 212 yards rushing and two touchdowns. "We needed some type of adversity because we're going to see it in the playoffs.
