[Baseball] UAV Outscores Westmont to Advance into Winner's Bracket

Antelope Valley got out to an early lead, saw that lead disappear, and then battle back to almost literally walk away with a 9-8 win over Westmont on the first of action at the Santa Barbara Bracket of the NAIA Opening Round.  The Pioneers, the #3 seed, scored the winning run in the top of the 9th when #2 Westmont walked three consecutive batters to set up a Tyler Van Marter sacrifice fly that proved to be the game-winner.  With the victory, UAV will play its second game tomorrow, May 14, at 12:30 p.m.
