[Men's Basketball] Late free throws secure Tigers' road win
An 8-0 run helped Georgetown College men's basketball finish off a three-game road trip undefeated. The No. 8 Tigers (21-3, 7-2) held a double-digit edge at the break, but needed another late game rally against Cumberland University to secure a 75-69 victory.
Eljay Cowherd and Troy Steward led GC in scoring with 19 each. Joe Burton finished with 14, including big free throws down the stretch, and Chris Coffey had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Trenard Chester had a game-high 24 points for the home team, while teammate Ty Sean Powell added 20.
