MARION, Ind. - Tia Sanford assisted on a first half goal and scored a marker of her own just 18 seconds into the second half to lead Indiana Wesleyan University past the University of Rio Grande, 2-0, Friday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action at Wildcat Field.
The RedStorm, which had a two-game winning streak snapped, slipped to 2-2 with the loss.
IWU, which was among the team's receiving votes in the NAIA preseason coaches' poll, upped its record to 2-1 with the win.
