Kernels, Bees Rained Out Thursday

Thursday's series opener between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Burlington Bees was postponed due to rain at Community Field. Strong winds blew the tarp off the infield, and rain continued to fall onto the playing surface. A similar situation led to the June 14 cancellation of Burlington's scheduled tilt with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
