Blue Jays go batty, beat Mets for 1st time in NY
Justin Smoak, Teoscar Hernandez and Richard Urena homered, while J.A. Happ allowed two hits while fanning 10 over seven scoreless innings to lead the Blue Jays to a rout in their first win vs. the Mets on the road in club history, following 12 losses. Zack Wheeler was strong before an 18-minute on-field rain delay in the third, but he struggled afterward, and Brandon Nimmo's homer with two outs in the ninth was all the Mets could muster.
