[Baseball] Georgetown knocks off Cumberland 7-2 in an elimination game
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Fifth-seeded Georgetown (Ky.) used a complete-game effort from Breion Barron to eliminate third-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) 7-2 today at the 2018 Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament at Bowling Green Ballpark.
Barron surrendered just two runs -- in a tournament where the losing team is averaging six runs per game -- while scattering six hits to send Georgetown into another elimination game later tonight. He struck out seven Phoenix hitters to win his fourth game of the season.
