[Volleyball] Mountaineers scratch Tigers in opening pool-play match

Georgetown College volleyball started its 2017 NAIA Volleyball National Championship run against No. 15 Eastern Oregon University. The No. 17 Tigers (21-5) battled throughout, but came up short in the first of three matches in pool play. The Mountaineers (23-9) won 25-21, 25-22, 25-13. Next for GC is a showdown 3 pm Wednesday with No. 2 Viterbo University.

The Tigers held leads early in every set, but could not find a way to stop EOU's offense. The Mountaineers had 42 kills by hitting .327 for the match.
