Giants Fall In Home Finale, 8-6

The San Jose Giants closed out their 2017 regular season home schedule on Sunday afternoon with an 8-6 loss to the Stockton Ports at Municipal Stadium. Stockton scored eight runs over the third and fourth innings before holding off the Giants late to salvage the final game of the series. With the loss, San Jose (30-33) falls back into a tie for second place in the second half North Division race - one game behind the winner of Sunday night's Modesto-Visalia contest for the top spot. Seven games remain in the regular season.
