Homer Bailey vs. Kyle Freeland

The Reds hope that Bailey starts to get on track…and soon. In his two starts, he has yet to pitch in the fourth inning. The good news, though, is that he lowered his ERA from 43.20 to 27.00 in his last start. Last week against the Brewers, he gave up six runs on six hits (including 3 homers) and hit a batter in just three innings of work.

Freeland last pitched in San Francisco where he went six full and gave up four runs on seven hits (two homers). His ERA on the year sits at 3.84.
