After 5 seasons and back to back track championships in the Street Stock division, Downey will move up the Stafford ladder into the SK Light division and race for Rookie of the Year honors. Downey has recorded at least 1 win every year from 2022-2026 with 8 victories in total in that time span in the Street Stock division. The big question for Downey and the #41 team will be how well and how quickly they can successfully transition from a full fendered car to an open wheel modified car.
