Jacob Stavropoulos Looks for a Fast Start to the 2026 Bone Stock Season

Fresh from the success of his inaugural local racing season, Jacob Stavropoulos is ready to get his 2026 Peterborough Speedway Bone Stock schedule underway.

On the strength of a pair of main event wins and more than a handful of heat race checkered flags, the talented 22-year-old from Castleton, Ontario – who also answers to ‘Young Jacob’ as well as ‘Jacob Stavro’ – finished 2^nd in last year’s point standings at the popular Central Ontario oval and was named the division’s rookie of the year at the annual award’s banquet.

“Our team will be looking to pick-up where we left when the new season gets rolling,” said the pilot of the potent No. 03 machine. “We had a great first year in the sport and made some wonderful friends along the way. I’d been at the track as a fan, but now that I’m on the other side of the fence, I’m amazed at the level of support and encouragement the racers receive every time we hit the track.”

Behind the scenes and at the track, the Jacob Stavropoulos No. 03 Bone Stock is prepared for weekly battle by George Stavropoulos, Ryan Babin, Ryan Oosterholt, Kyle Batty, Nick Lees and Dan Price. Sponsorship partners include Babin’s Automotive, Jennifer Galt Real Estate, CTE Property Maintenance, CN Produce, Cochrane Automotive and Clarke Motorsports Communications providing marketing support to the team throughout the year.

Peterborough Speedway’s 2026 line-up will be home to plenty of action with the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stocks. Starting with the New Country KX 105 season opener – with free spectator grandstand admission – Saturday, May 16^th, teams will be on hand for 10 dates during the regular season schedule. Saturday, August 22^nd the home track favourites will compete for bragging rights during the 50 lap Shootout. The annual Championship Clash – presented by APC Auto Parts – Saturday, September 5^th will lock-up the 2026 titles for the weekly home track divisions.

It’s never too early to start making plans for the annual running of the track’s marquee event – the 33^rd edition of the Autumn Colours Classic – presented by B&G Towing and Recovery, with New Country KX 105. The Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing takes centre stage October 9^th through 11^th at the venue known for Making Memories for Life.
