Turner Triumphs in Top Fuel Harley at IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Stop in Milan

The thunder of nitro bikes shook the pavement at Darana Dragway as the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series roared into Milan, Michigan, delivering another unforgettable weekend of high-horsepower action. Headlining the Top Fuel Harley category was none other than Hall of Fame motorcycle drag racer Jay Turner, who once again reminded fans why he’s one of the most respected names in the sport.

Turner’s road to victory culminated in a dramatic final round matchup against rising star Jordan Peterson. Peterson launched with a slight edge on the tree, posting a .039 reaction time to Turner’s .061, but the veteran’s experience and horsepower carried the day. Despite both bikes putting out cylinders down track, Turner powered through to a 6.365-second win at 134.81 mph, securing his 18th IHRA national-event victory. Peterson wasn’t far behind, stopping the clocks at 6.533 seconds in a strong runner-up performance.

The IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series now looks ahead to its next stop at Darana Raceway – Hebron (formerly National Trail Raceway) in Hebron, Ohio, set for September 3-6.
