Poirier Back to Winning Ways at Le RPM Speedway

MARCEL-DE-RICHELIUE, QUE (August 26, 2017) – One night after being disappointed with his third place finish at Autodrome Granby, Steve Poirier did what he usually does, he returned to Victory Lane with the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints. The seven-time champion led all 25-laps at Le RPM Speedway to pick up his second series win of the 2017 season. Poirier, who earned $2,075 for his efforts, blasted the cushion for the entire distance of the main-event as he kept fellow Quebec native Yan Bilodeau behind him. Jason Barney, the current overall tour point leader, finished in the fourth spot earning himself the 1000 Islands RV Center Canadian championship. “The car was good, it was easy and it was fun,” commented Poirier. “I had a good starting position so that made my life easy. We were a bit nervous because last year we did good with a good starting position but with our GF1 (chassis).
