Conservation Easement Permanently Protects Source of Harrisburg, PA's Drinking Water

Unique Partnership Benefits Drinking Water, Wildlife, and National Security HARRISBURG PA (September 28, 2016) – Capital Region Water’s Board of Directors unanimously approved a conservation easement to conserve 3,917 acres of its larger 8,200 acre DeHart Property.  This is Phase 1 of a conservation easement that will eventually protect the entire property through a partnership with the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation (WBWF), The Nature Conservancy (TNC), and Fort Indiantown Gap.The 8,200 acre
