JOHANNESBURG - Athletics South Africa (ASA) stuck to its guns, despite a flurry of outrage on social media for the national federation largely omitting athletes who have met the IAAF standards for the London World Championships.
Seattle general manager Jerry Dipoto and the Mariners are possibly looking to acquire Athletics sought-after ace Sonny Gray, a source told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Most all of the attention regarding the A’s has to do with individuals who have the potential to bring some franchise-altering talent back to Oakland in due time, but there is actually still a team playing games on the field day-in and day-out, and the team has been pretty decent of late.
