Razorbacks 2023 cross country schedule

FAYETTEVILLE – Cross country season begins in less than a month for Arkansas as the first meet will be held on September 1 at the Cowboy Preview hosted by Oklahoma State.

The Razorback women return 11 athletes from last year’s squad and have five new additions. Leading the Arkansas group are Isabel Van Camp, Sydney Thorvaldson, and Mia Cochran, who placed fourth, 11th and 12th in the SEC meet last fall.

Other Razorbacks with conference experience include Gracie Hyde, Mary Ellen Eudaly, Heidi Nielson, and Nyah Hernandez.

Tiana LoStracco, a middle-distance transfer from Bradley, finished 11th in the Missouri Valley conference meet last fall and placed 42nd in the Midwest Region. Incoming freshman Paityn Noe excelled in cross country on the high school level, placing third in the Champs Sports National Championships after finishing 10th in the Nike Cross Nationals.

The Chile Pepper Festival held on September 29 will have the Razorbacks competing on its home course at Agri Park. Then the Pre-Nationals Invitational will be hosted by Virginia in Charlottesville on October 27 as teams get a preview of the NCAA Championship course being held at Panorama Farms.

Post season meets begin with the SEC Championships hosted by South Carolina on October 27 in Columbia, South Carolina. Arkansas then serves as host of the NCAA South Central Regional at Agri Park on November 10.

The 2023 NCAA Championships, with a field of 31 teams, will be held at Panorama Farms on November 18.

The Razorbacks currently have a streak of 12 consecutive appearances in the NCAA Championship field among the 25 times Arkansas has qualified for the national meet.

Van Camp claimed the South Central individual title in College Station, Texas, last season as Arkansas won its 11th consecutive team title, with six individuals earning All-Region honors for placing among the top 25.
