The avalanche bulletin for today is really quite blunt and simple click here. All aspects of all slopes have a high risk of avalanche due to the volume of fresh snow that has fallen and is still falling, plus there is a weak layer.
Hoping for snowfall in the Northern French Alps at the start of next week! Unfortunately temperatures are becoming mild for the time of season again, but altitudes above 1600 m should benefit from this fresh snow.

What a lot of snow and wind we had. When the weather finally cleared on Christmas day. It was glorious but frustrating for some and dangerous for others. Many were disappointed to find the snow badly wind affected and off piste conditions were difficult.
