On Friday, May 23rd, 2014 The Snow Sports Industry lost a True legend and Selfless Ambassador to Alpine Skiing & Teaching. Gary Carter was a great partner, father, mentor and one of the best instructors many of us knew.

Franklin was a PSIA member for many years and taught skiing at Ski Acres and Stevens Pass before moving on to coaching and being active in the racing world (he was a volunteer on the slopes for the Vancouver Olympics, yearly at the Lake Louise downhill race).

Bart Singley passed away October 11, 2012 in Joseph, Oregon. He was born in Salida, Colorado on July 14, 1965 he was 47 at the time of his death. He grew up in Leadville, Colorado and attended school there, and graduated in 1983 and attended Wenatchee Valley College in Wenatchee, Washington.

It was a very competitive tryout at Mt. Hood Meadows on May 3-5, 2013. Congratulations to all those who tried out; you all demonstrated a very high level of expertise in many aspects of snowsports education.
