DULUTH — When Max Plante returned to class Monday at the University of Minnesota Duluth, he received a congratulations from his teacher, but had to pause and think about what he was being congratulated for. “It took me a second to realize why she was congratulating me, because we just lost in the championship game,” Plante said. The Bulldogs did lose the NCHC championship in double overtime at Denver last Saturday, but are headed to the NCAA tournament this week to play Penn State in Albany, New York.
