In a state known for its ducks and other waterfowl, a youth conservation program is helping to ensure the next generation knows how to protect them. The Junior Duck Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is a national program that helps young people learn about the environment, wildlife and conservation. The “conservation through the arts” program, for those in grades K-12, attracts schools and hundreds of students from the region every year, making the Peace Garden State one of the most participatory states involved.
