DULUTH — Minnesota Duluth freshmen defenseman Grayden Siepmann wasn’t sure what his life would be like after his final season in the Western Hockey League in 2024-25. Siepmann said the hope was he could get a professional contract after five seasons of playing major junior hockey in Canada, but then the NCAA lifted its ban on Canadian Hockey League players, and would allow them to begin playing college hockey in 2025-26. It opened up a lot of doors for Siepmann.
